Breaking Benjamin - Dear Agony

Been a while between posts on here, but that doesn't mean I haven't been checking out new albums.

Today, I look at the fourth album from Breaking Benjamin, called Dear Agony.

The album was released on September 29, 2009.

Track Listing:
1. Fade Away
2. I Will Not Bow
3. Crawl
4. Give Me A Sign
5. Hopeless
6. What Lies Beneath
7. Anthem Of The Angels
8. Light's Out
9. Dear Agony
10. Into The Nothing
11. Without You

Review
Breaking Benjamin continues to dominate the alternative metal genre. While this continued their step away from heavy screamy vocals, they did a good job of tying that style into some songs. Crawl, Hopeless and What Lies Beneath all had some of those elements. The album featured fairly heavy guitar riffs, and Benjamin Burnley's vocals continue to rock. I will Now Bow was a great choice for the first single, and I think Dear Agony will be a highly successful single as well. BB always does a good job tying in slow songs, and Anthem Of The Angels and Dear Agony fit the album well. Without You was a great closing song, and Fade Away was a decent opener. I think I would have started the album with I Will Not Bow. Overall, some of the best work BB has done.

Grade: 8.5/10
